Upload Exam in the pool room
During the upload exam in the pool room, one or more tasks are made available to the exam participants for download via ILIAS. The tasks are completed on a pool computer within a specified time window.
A virtual machine is started on this computer, which contains all the programs required for the task. Additional tools and access to online resources can be enabled or restricted for the duration of the exam in accordance with the exam conditions. At the end of the processing time, students upload their results to ILIAS as a submission in the format specified by the examiner. The specific submission period and the authentication of the participants are controlled via the KIT account.
In this scenario, third-party applications used in the course can also be used for examination tasks via the customizable examination environment. In this way, realistic tasks can be worked on in the exam and practical skills can be determined without changing the medium.
Examples of practical upload exams with third-party applications in KIT pool rooms can be found under Good Practices.
