Workshop: Inverted Classroom with Screencasts

The Inverted Classroom Model (ICM) has become increasingly popular since the pandemic at the latest. Apart from the high flexibility this form of teaching offers, it has the advantage of a better deepening of learning material and thus a better understanding. Typically, the inverted classroom is conducted with preparatory videos. A good and easy way to create such videos are screencasts.

This workshop introduces media didactics and explains the sensible structure of learning units with videos. In the subsequent practical part, participants will learn how to create a high-quality screencast with simple means. The workshop is part of the program of the Hochschuldidaktikzentrum Baden-Württemberg (HDZ). Participation can therefore be credited towards the Baden-Württemberg Certificate for Higher Education Didactics.
