Strategy fund project on online examinations at KIT
The aim of the project is to develop and test a concept for a procedure that is secure in terms of examination and data protection law for all necessary activities of the examination process, which supports the integration of the software components involved (such as CAS Campus, ILIAS, third-party applications), taking into account the existing hardware components.
This project ties in with the project "Partnership for innovative e-examinations. Projektverbund der baden-württembergischen Universitäten (PePP)" by subjecting the technical innovations implemented there to a practical test. The focus will be expanded: away from isolated technical partial solutions and towards an integrated overall process that is secure in terms of examination and data protection law as the basis for a sustainable examination infrastructure for online examinations at KIT.
The Institute of Biomedical Engineering (IBT), the Institute of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (IPF) and the Institute of Applied Informatics and Formal Description Methods (AIFB), Operational Information Systems Research Group, are each participating with a course that will be used to develop proposals for action for the aspects listed. The Center for Media Learning (ZML) is responsible for application consulting, documentation, coordination, information procurement and coordination with other KIT units involved in the testing process, such as SCC, SLE and HAA.
Project duration 07/2022-12/2023
The project is financed by the Strategy Fund of the Presidential Board.
